We’re incredibly proud to share that The English Gently Smoked Sherry Hogshead has been crowned ‘World’s Best Small Batch Single Malt Whisky’ at the World Whiskies Awards 2026. This is the second time The English Distillery has been awarded the World’s Best title, with our Sherry Cask claiming the title of World’s Best Single Malt in 2024.
It’s a massive moment for us and a proud milestone that cements our place not only as England’s leading whisky maker, but as one of the world’s finest single malt distilleries.
To be recognised among such incredible global talent means more than we can put into words, and it’s something we’ll be taking in for quite some time.
