We're incredibly proud of our whisky collection, which continues to win awards from esteemed organisations all over the world, but nothing prepared us for winning the 'World's Best Single Malt Whisky' for The English Sherry Cask Matured at the 2024 World Whiskies Awards.

The English Sherry Cask Matured beat stiff competition from 1,500 whiskies from 40 countries to take the title.

 

 

'English whisky is now really up and coming, definitely not playing second fiddle to Scotland any more... To see an English single malt win world's best single malt at the World Whiskies Awards just confirms how much of a strong contender it is on the global stage.'

'Over the palate, it paints a robust medley of marzipan and dark chocolate-coated dates. Those notes are augmented in a lengthy finish, sweet with honey and rich with ginger spice. The auburn colored malt is non-chill-filtered and comes to bottle at 92 proof. It’s not difficult to understand how this sort of elegance stood out to the 200 expert panelists at the World Whiskies Awards.'

Since our win, we've been blown away by the response from customers old and new, and orders have poured in in their thousands from across the globe. We've been featured in the press all over the world and, in the last few days, have hosted reporters from the BBC and ITV at the distillery.
