The English Single Cask 17 Year Old "Bonfire Smoke"

Bonfire Night is fast approaching and with its colder nights and evenings in front of a fire. This single cask of 17yr old single malt has produced a fabulous smokey whisky which is perfect for sharing by the bonfire or snuggled indoors in the warmth. We only released 150 bottles from this cask, so it is rare and in short supply.

The single cask bottlings are wonderful stories in their own right; each has a history going back years, and the spirit was hand-distilled by the current team or by now-retired distillers. Each cask is unique and a little time capsule that reflects the love the distillery team have bestowed on it each year.

The English Single Cask "Bonfire Smoke" is part of our Single Cask range, showcasing the influence of our super oak casks, each type hand-picked for its unique influence on the whisky whilst maturing. Single cask releases are incredibly rare, each one yielding only a few hundred bottles.

The Cask

A single fabulous ex bourbon cask, that came from the home of Jim Beam.

The Nose

Silky, smooth smoke, sweet caramel, slight tropical fruits such as pineapple, banana and slight coconut; add water and the smoke intensifies.

The Palate

Bonfire smoke, sweet orchard fruits, toffee popcorn, foam banana sweets

The Finish

Long rich smoke mixed in with charred tropical fruits.
