The English Rum Cask Matured

The English Rum Cask Matured is a very special whisky made from a unique process at The English Distillery. Our single malt whisky matures for many years in casks that previously held rum, which had been maturing at the distillery for over a decade before giving up its cask for the whisky to sleep in. The result is a wonderfully creamy Small Batch malt that is a perennial favourite with the distillery team, with its aroma and taste evoking rum-and-raisin ice cream.

In a distillery that already limits batch sizes to ensure that every whisky we make is exceptional, The English Small Batch range takes it to the next level. These limited releases showcase the expertise of our distillery team in using various techniques to bring out the depth of flavours in our exceptional stocks of single malt whiskies. The Casks

Rum cask.

The Nose

Ripe bananas, creamy vanilla ice cream, raisins and rich caramel.

The Palate

On the palate, tropical fruit is balanced against soft caramel and gentle rum notes.

Finish

A medium to long finish with a lovely, gentle, rum mouth coating.
