Our contract

You may only purchase products from this website if you are of legal drinking age in your country of residence.

All products shown on this website are subject to availability. We will inform you by e-mail as soon as possible if the product you have ordered is not available and we will not process your order if made.

After you place an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. We will then confirm our acceptance to you by sending you a further e-mail (Dispatch Confirmation). The Contract between us will only be formed when we send you the Dispatch Confirmation.

Prices and payment

Prices for our products may change from time to time, but changes will not affect any order which we have confirmed with a Dispatch Confirmation.

Prices shown against each product listed are not inclusive of postage and packaging which will be added to the bill at the rates indicated.

Any products highlighted as being subject to a promotional price have previously been available at the higher indicated price on this website or in the St George's Distillery whisky shop.

We accept all major credit cards. Your card is charged at the time of ordering.

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any website. Alternatively you may send your credit card information via phone, fax or post.

Tax Charges

All alcohol products sold on this website are sold subject to UK alcohol tax. If we are exporting products to an address in the European Union (EU), then prices are subject to UK VAT.

For all deliveries outside of the EU, UK VAT will not be charged. However, your order will be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in your chosen country, which are levied at the time the package clears customs. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country we have no control over these charges, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Refusal to pay the local import duties and taxes will result in the goods either being destroyed by customs or goods being returned to sender at the cost of the consignee (costs will be deducted from any refund owed).

If your order is being held by your local customs office, you will be able to determine this from the information viewable through the tracking process.

At present we can only ship to the US via our importer and therefore do not give this option on our website. However all things are possible, but this one needs a discussion - so please give the distillery a call.

Delivery Information

We endeavour to process your order right away.

Small parcels

You can choose how to have your goods delivered.

  1. The cheapest option for a single bottle will arrive with your postie, as a normal letter and takes 2-3days. There is no tracking on this and no insurance if it goes missing.
  2. All goods can be delivered by courier, this allows you to track your goods, leave an alternative place to deliver the goods etc. This service requires a signature unless you specifically tell us not to ask for one.
    1. Note: Please do not ask us to leave your goods with a neighbour if you don't get on! Amazing how many times the neighbour forgets he has taken a delivery on your behalf.

More than 1 bottle

  1. All goods can be delivered by courier, this allows you to track your goods, leave an alternative place to deliver the goods etc. This service requires a signature unless you specifically tell us not to ask for one. If no one is available at your address to take delivery, our courier will leave you a note that the products have been returned to our premises, in which case, please contact us to rearrange delivery. In the event that you specifically request a delivery with no signature, all risk in the products rests with you from the time of their being left by us at the agreed delivery point.
    1. Note: Please do not ask us to leave your goods with a neighbour if you don't get on! Amazing how many times the neighbour forgets he has taken a delivery on your behalf.

Any parcel going abroad

  1. Goods going abroad are delivered by DHL and go specifically to the address designated and always require a signature. This is a tracked service.

We will do our best to make sure there are no mistakes in the recipient's address you supply us with but ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure we have the correct delivery address.

Delivery deadlines

Please note that we are unable to guarantee the punctuality of service provided by our delivery agents, particularly during spells of difficult weather conditions. If your shipment is delivered unacceptably late after having been collected from us on time by our agent, we will try to secure a refund where appropriate.

Delivery Restrictions

  • Orders with Post Box Numbers as delivery addresses will not be dispatched and processing will be delayed while we contact you for a valid delivery address.
  • British Forces Post Office (BFPO)
    • No products with an alcohol-by-volume (ABV) over 24% may be sent to a BFPO address.

Back Orders

We will not accept orders for items no in stock or accept reservations for items that are known to be launching but still not in stock.

Returns Policy

Reasons for returning / refusing your goods

  1. You change your mind and don't want the product
  2. The product is damaged when the courier arrives at your door
  3. The product is faulty

If you decide you don't want the products purchased, we will refund your money, or exchange the products if you inform us within 10 working days from the date you receive the Dispatch Confirmation, which is when the Contract between us is formed (or 7 working days from the day after your receipt of the products if later). In this event, any delivered product must be returned to us in good condition within its original packaging and in the case of food or drink products with the container seal unopened. (Unfortunately we cannot pay for the delivery charge of unwanted products.) We will make reimbursements within 30 days of cancellation.

The product is damaged when the courier arrives at your door

We take a lot of care packing your order to ensure that it arrives in perfect condition. Unfortunately, there are times when parcels incur damage while in transit. If a parcel shows clear signs of damage or leakage at the time of delivery, we ask that you refuse the parcel. Please ask the courier to return the goods to sender.

The product is faulty

Any products that we send to you that are faulty or damaged we will replace them or reimburse you for the expense, including the cost of delivery. If products are faulty or damaged, we ask that you tell us within 48 hours of receipt of the products. All refunds and reimbursements will be paid within 30 days of your notifying us of your wish to return the products.

We refund you on the credit card or debit card used by you to pay.

Product images on the website are intended for illustrative purposes only and may not be exact representations of the item in stock, particularly for antique and/or discontinued products, which may not be in 100% perfect condition. Please also be aware that batch numbers, vintages and bottling dates may be subject to change. If this happens, we will do our best to inform you before the item is shipped.
