Making A Purchase
J.L & B.A Nelstrop operate the distillery on behalf of The English Whisky Co. and as such all payments will be collected by them. Their name will appear on credit card receipts etc.
Prices shown on listings pages include Excise Duty and VAT at the rates currently applicable in the UK.
Prices shown against each item listed are not inclusive of postage and packaging which will be added to the bill.
All prices published on this site constitute an invitation to treat rather than an offer capable of acceptance by any purchaser. Such prices are published in good faith and are believed to be correct. However J.L & B.A Nelstrop reserves the right to alter or change prices at any time up until delivery of the product selected.
Any price changes will be notified and confirmed to you via your order confirmation receipt.
All products offered are subject to availability and we cannot guarantee availability of the products listed.
Any products highlighted as being subject to a promotional price have previously been available at the higher indicated price on our site or in more than one of our stores.
Items containing alcohol can only be ordered by and delivered to those aged 18 or over (UK).
Those that access the site from other locations are responsible for compliance with local laws if and to the extent that local laws are applicable.
Goods must be checked at the time of delivery and any damage notified to J.L & B.A Nelstrop. See the returns and refunds section for more information.
Goods are despatched by a third party courier and their terms and conditions apply.
Goods are sent entirely at the customers own risk as we are unable to guarantee safe delivery. See the delivery information and delivery rates sections for more information.
J.L & B.A Nelstrop does not accept liability for delayed or non delivery of goods due to mis-information.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from overseas we will email you with postage options.
We accept all major credit cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 3 business days. Please contact the office regarding delivery of European and International orders
If your item is not in stock, we will try to back order for you. Sometimes this is not possible as we are dealing with rare and often unique products. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is included. For all orders outside the EU please contact the office and we will happily dear with your order and deduct the VAT.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

English Whisky Co. do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
If you are unhappy with products purchased which are not faulty, we will happily refund your money, or exchange the products if you inform us within 7 days after the day following the delivery of the goods. In this event, the products must be returned to us in good condition. We will make reimbursements within 30 days of cancellation. Any product returned must be within its original packaging. (Unfortunately we cannot pay for the delivery charge of unwanted products.)
However, if any products that we send to you are faulty or damaged we will replace them or reimburse you for the expense, including the cost of delivery. If products are faulty or damaged, we require that you tell us within 48 hours of receipt of the products. All refunds and reimbursements will be paid within 30 days of your notifying us of your wish to return the products. Any product returned must be adequately packed to avoid any possible damage
